Welcome to Delia M. Turner Elementary School’s website. We pride ourselves in providing excellent academic programs to our students. The Birth- 3 Program works with parents and children ages infant-3 years of age. Parents and children meet once a week and explore education and parenting through song, dance, crafts and an array of field trips and celebrations. This program also provided informational meetings workshop and seminars on parenting , nutrition and language skills. If you are interested in joining this exciting program, please call the school at 388-5290. Hurry, space is limited.

 

 

Turner Preschool is for students 3-5 years old. There is a morning as well as an afternoon session to choose from but spaces are limited. Turner Preschool offers your child the opportunity to learn and develop fine, gross motor skills, social skills and academic development. It is a center based program which explores sharing, hands-on activities and stirs the imagination through field trips, crafts and celebrations. Full Day Preschool
There are two Full Day Preschool classrooms at Turner School for those who qualify. There is a Weighted Criteria for these services. In addition, your child has be be 4 years old by September 1. For more information please contact Turner School at 708-388-7205 in August. Parent Interviews are required. Space is limited.

 

 

The kindergarten students at Delia M. Turner Elementary School focus on the Common Core Standards in Reading and Math. Illinois standards in Science, Social Studies and Health are also embedded into the curriculum. The program endeavors to increase the student’s language development through the utilization of a variety of literacy technique, new experiences and ideas. The kindergarten students are equipped with the knowledge based needed to be successful in future grade levels. This is a full day program and offers breakfast and lunch daily.
